Pro Mé (interpreted as “for others”) is a non-profit volunteer organization founded by Dr. Kathleen Jean-Louis and Dr. Kris Preston at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy.
The mission of Pro Mé is for healthcare professional students to volunteer their time and talents to promote healing, emotional support, while bringing joy to patients. Healthcare professional students volunteer their talents and time in the visual, linguistic , and performing arts at various health care facilities (hospitals, assisted living facilities, long term care centers and more).
Pro Mé is made up of three divisions: music, performance, and art.
Pro Mé accepts clothing, art supplies, costumes, books, musical instruments and various craft supplies. All monetary donations are tax deductible.
